Submarine communication
Today's submarines are increasingly requiring higher levels of connectivity with the outside world whilst simultaneously maintaining their stealthy characteristics. Traditional communication techniques offer slow data rate transmission or necessitate that the submarine to operate at periscope depth with an exposed communications mast.
The Deep Siren Tactical Paging (DSTP) buoy can be deployed from submerged submarines or air launched from ASW patrol aircraft to allow long range communication with a submarine operating at speed and depth.
